Nature is the gift that keeps on giving, and it has been that way since the beginning of time, on the slide below are some of the finest oils, herbs and seeding's known to man. Extra Virgin Olive oil has a long & wondrous history of medicinal, spiritual, and beautifying usage which have dated back 1,000s of years, for example
Egyptians used it alongside beeswax as a cleanser, moisturizer, and antibacterial agent since pharaonic times.
EVO(extra virgin olive oil) is also mentioned numerously, in religious & spiritual texts... such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam! Its safe to assume that regular usage of this seemingly 'majestic' oil can be nothing short of a miracle for many, because it has many benefits see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_oil#Judaism
Speaking of the ancient Egyptians...thousands of years ago these highly advanced, ritualistic, civilization used an organ storage process where organs were placed in canopic jars. They believed heavily in 'life after death', and with the ancient kemetians fascination with death, and their belief system about life after death, they wanted to be sure to safe guard 'the nobles' of the that time, 'organs'. In their funerary beliefs, was that the deceased organs would still be needed after death, thus they preserved their organs. These highly valued--dynastic, organ jars, were four in number, each for the safekeeping of particular human organs: the stomach, intestines, lungs, and liver, all of which, it was believed, would be needed in the afterlife. There was no jar for the heart: the Egyptians believed it to be the seat of the soul, and so it was left inside the body
The ancient Egyptians were very fond of NATURE to the point that they found a spiritual/religious meaning in just about anything related to the 'nature' of the Mother Earth as well as outside of the earth even into the cosmos (for they were some of the first readers of the stars/and cosmic bodies)--as I were saying....from animals as large as the hippo, to as small as the beetle(scarab) or as fierce as the Mighty African Lion the Kemetians Loved Nature! They adored the plants The Lotus and the Papyrus Plants were amongst Egyptian staples! They were cultivators of Land and ate much wheat, lentils, and you guessed it, Plenty, and various leafy GREEN VEGETABLES!
